Dietetic Fibres

Dietetic fibres are substances if plants which cannot be digested. They do not provide calories or increase blood sugar.

They make you feel fed up over a longer period and reduce the speed of blood sugar getting high.

Food rich in dietetic fibres: fruits, salads, vegetables, legumes, whole meal products.

Food poor in dietetic fibres: baguette, white bread, sweets, softdrinks.

This kind of food does not make somebody feel full and furthermore they lead to a rapid increase of blood sugar levels.

Another bonus of nutrition based on dietetic fibres is the positive effect on cholesterol levels and the support of digestion. It is important to care for sufficient intake of liquids (minimum 2 litres) to allow dietetic fibres to swell.
